City of the World

Elaine Cory was born in New York. From early on she always had a crayon or pencil in her hand. Being an Army brat her family moved to Europe, where she lived in Germany and France and traveled to many foreign countries. These places opened her eyes to the great beauty and differences in the world. The French countryside was especially memorable with its old world patina.

Upon her return to the United States her family moved to San Francisco. There her education blossomed. Museums and art shows were always prevalent and educational.  Elaine was given an art scholarship to San Francisco State College. She later pursued a 20 year career in interior design. Many of her paintings are hanging in her clients homes.

Today Elaine lives in Las Vegas with her husband Ron. She is now privileged to pursue her painting career on a full time basis.  Elaine’s art is her unique expression of vibrant colors, excitement of subject and passion for life. The original works are done in acrylics and mixed media.
