A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, s.c. jones attended UNLV and Richmond College in London, finally achieving a Bachelor of Arts with a Minor in Film.
Active in the Las Vegas arts community for two decades, s.c. jones has created several underground comics, has had many one-man shows of his paintings, and was a founding member, along with Dayvid Figler, Ginger Bruner, Joe Malone and Brian Weiss, of the very popular Las Vegas cult band Tippy Elvis.
In 2005, a large comic on canvas by s.c. jones was selected for the Contemporary Arts Collective’s Annual Juried show. He has also shown several works at the Box Office as well as the Donna Beam Gallery and local libraries.
In 1997, s.c. jones became an art educator for the Clark County School District. Since then, he has taught art to everyone from kindergarteners to retired seniors. As a high school teacher, s.c. jones has taught photography, drawing, painting, yearbook, commercial design, and film history.
In 2006, s.c. jones was featured in Entertainment Weekly as the “obsessed fan of the week” for his passion of Disneyland.
In 2007, Las Vegas Weekly featured s.c. jones in an extended article about his Las Vegas history and future artistic potential within the local art community.
s.c. jones has been married to his high-school sweetheart, Rebecca, for 21 years. They are proud parents of three children who are active in the arts.
