Pat Caspary graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts. Her specialty was print making, especially serigraphy. After a life time career as a museum store manager in Los Angeles and consultant she retired and embarked on a new venture in watercolor. Under the tutelage of Barbara Sindilair she learned the challenges and techniques of painting with watercolors. She was awarded a 1st in the 55th Roundup at the Las Vegas Art Museum and a 2nd in the Celebration Live 2007 exhibitions.

Her portfolio includes traditional transparent watercolors, whimsical quotes, lots of dragonflies and a current series of counterpoint concepts. A devoté of history she loves to connect the past with the present in her compositions. There are a million ideas in her mind and she paints every day just to keep the muse active. Her ridiculous letters, i.e. Oz-isms, are always a favorite. Ready to venture into new ideas she is currently working on a series of recycled cigar boxes. Each one is decorated with a theme: wine, candles, romance, keepsake, etc. Just in time for Halloween there are a few “Day of the Dead” paintings. Her personal collection of Mexican “Trees of Life” folk-art is fabulous and a great resource. Pat and friend Christi Milard have completed a pre-school activity book, “The Train Song”. Music and lyrics are by Christi and the illustrations by Pat. You can see that Pat is one of those artists who are working overtime in every direction.caspary3.jpg
